Advanced Saddlery

In our first Saddlery Topic, you can learn all about the different parts of tack, their role and how to clean the tack! This topic will cover more parts of tack and the different styles they can come in.

Unfortunately, saddlery isn't a one-size-fits-all because horses are all different shapes and sizes! Because of this, different types of horses will need different tack. For example, a very big strong competition horse will need a stronger bit compared to a safe happy hacker!

The discipline the horse is used for also influences choice of tack. You can get different styles of saddles to suit jumping or dressage. There are also rules within each discipline that state only certain types of tack are allowed to be used and others are banned!
