Some horses and ponies will live out in the field all the time. But it is important to understand the daily routine of horses that live in stables.

In winter, it is normal for horses to be in their stables more because of the weather, especially at night time. Whereas in summer, it is more likely that horses will be in their stable during the day and out in the field at night time.

Making sure the stable and the yard is safe and secure is extremely important. This is to help avoid accidents and problems.

Horses are animals that require routine so making sure we stick to the same routine every day is very important for the health of the horse!
